Our Mission and Values

At Hoot Reading, we are on a mission to change children’s lives through literacy. We promise transformational impact for our students by delivering high-quality, assessment-informed, 1:1 literacy instruction over our research-based app. We are here, to revolutionize literacy education, we are steadfast in our commitment to outcomes for every student in a Hoot Reading program.

One of the many innovative things about Hoot is that over half of our team is located in cities outside of our HQ in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. As a result, most of us work remotely, meaning we don’t get the opportunity to build an in-person, regular office culture that you might be more accustomed to. But we don’t let distance get in the way of ensuring culture remains a priority. We strive for better connectivity in many different ways, but let’s start with the basics: Hoot’s Culture Code. This code is here to keep us aligned, to understand each other better, and to know what to expect as an employee.
