Customer Experience & Growth | Growth Operations Manager

Position: Full-Time Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage) with Potential for Extension

Reports to: Sr. Director, Customer Experience & Growth

 

Hoot Reading is a leading provider of 1:1, evidence-based literacy tutoring, partnering with school districts, educational organizations, and families across North America to help children become confident readers.

We're looking for a Growth Operations Manager to help drive Hoot's next stage of growth.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, improving, and executing. You'll own key growth initiatives across customer acquisition, marketing execution, customer experience, CRM, reporting, and operational improvement. We're a small, high-performing team, so we're looking for someone who is excited to own outcomes, wear multiple hats, and help move the business forward.

Working closely with team members across the business, our external marketing agency, and customer-facing teams, you'll use data, systems, and strong execution to help Hoot grow while delivering an outstanding experience for every family we serve.

 

What You'll Own

Drive Growth

  • Own the family journey from first inquiry through consultation, enrollment, onboarding, and long-term retention.
  • Conduct consultations with prospective families
  • Partner with our external marketing agency to execute growth campaigns and strengthen Hoot's brand awareness across our key audiences.
  • Own the execution of Hoot's digital presence, including website updates, email campaigns, social media, and customer communications.
  • Measure lead generation, conversion, campaign performance, and customer lifecycle metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use data and experimentation to continuously improve campaigns, customer journeys, and operational performance.

Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience

  • Continuously improve the customer experience through better onboarding, communication, and support.
  • Develop customer nurture, engagement, and win-back campaigns.
  • Monitor NPS, CSAT, customer feedback, and funnel insights to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Help create an experience that families are excited to recommend to others.

Build Scalable Operations

  • Own HubSpot CRM, workflows, automations, forms, landing pages, and reporting.
  • Build scalable systems and processes that improve efficiency across marketing, customer success, and sales.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into growth, conversion, retention, and operational performance.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve execution, and help the business scale.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in growth operations, customer success, marketing operations, business operations, or a similar role.
  • Experience using HubSpot CRM, marketing automation, and reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition, conversion funnels, and customer retention strategies.
  • Experience working with external marketing agencies or partners considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, ownership mindset with a passion for solving problems and improving processes.
  • A hands-on, get-it-done mentality. You're excited to own outcomes, jump into new challenges, and contribute wherever needed to help the team succeed.
